About
Dr. Michael DeWhatley is a dramaturg, theatre director, educator and researcher based in Lexington, Kentucky. He currently works as an Assistant Professor of Arts Administration at the University of Kentucky, where his primary research interests include the relationships among arts boards, arts workers, and the role of community and locality in arts organizations. He holds a Ph.D. in Performance as Public Practice from the University of Texas at Austin, and postdoctoral research fellowship from SMU DataArts.
